Grooming in Belabre in August 2006!

Wednesday August 2 I left Gotland Sweden for the groomingclass in France! I was a little bit nervous about the French language! I can't speak French! (but I got two good translaters Jennifer and Elaine! THANK YOU!) Elaine and Jennifer picked me up at Geneva airport and drove me to Elaines house in Bâgé le Châtel. Next morning we went by car to Belabre. (I felt like a gipsy) Three persons, five dogs and a lot of luggage in the car! There we met: Anny Bedat and Christian with their Barbet Rasta and Ursulle (Rasta was hunting ducks in the river) Frederique with her Barbet Brindille Alex and Greet Los Holland with Barbet Udine, Amy and lagottos, poodle and a black cockerpuppy 8 weeks old Celine Soulier profesional groomer and Chloe (her daughter) with Valencay, Vetliner, Boheme and her setter Elsa and poodle Morgan Elaine and Jennifer with Thelma, Coccolina, Bepop, Booly Wooly and papillon Polka. Marie Lidblad without Barbet Amande! Sweden (Catherine Demantké with Arkann excused) Friday We went to a pond to train retrieving in the water. Mr Georgii and Inge Fischer were there to help us. I wasn't impressed about how they????? worked but I got a nice talk and good advice from mr Georgii. ( I have labradors in Sweden and use them for retrieving ducks) Now I know how to train my Barbet ) Thank you Mr Georgii and Inger. Picnic at the pond. In the evening we had BBQ at Celine's house. A nice evening with a lot of dogtalk. Mr Georgii and Inge were accompanied by their Barbetpuppy Rosé. (he has a sister in the north of Sweden) Saturday Grooming!!! Celine taught us a lot! (thank you Celine) Dinner at the restaurang in Belabre. We said goodby to family Los from Holland. Sunday Fleamarket in Le Blanc. We were walking around with 7 Barbets( a poodle, a setter and a papillon). People were very interested in the breed and questioned a lot!!! New people arrived from Spain with their Spanish Waterdog Dos! Florence and Manu with their two children Lunch at a restaurang near a lake in La Gabriere. A beatiful Place! In the evening we went to Mr Georgii's place for an aperitif. And of course it was so nice with interesting dogtalk! (Inge Fisher is like a book when you are talking about waterdogs) Monday We went to a shop in Tours There you can by things to your dog and cat very cheap if you are a breeder! We said goodby and went home to Bâgé le Châtel. Tuesday Early in the morning I took the TGV to Geneva and was back in Stockholm at eleven o'clock in the evening! I went to my son's apartment and slept there! Wedneysday I took the ferry back to Gotland. My dogs were really happy to see me again! (so was I) I want to thank you all for a wonderful week!!!
